Sarah Anderson
Sarah Anderson joined Chevron Australian 2014 in a graduate position and has worked her way up to the position of product owner, in which she is leading a major technical innovation that is likely a world first for the oil and gas industry.
Sarah’s work focusses on the planning of future subsea resource development projects and the opportunity to use digital tools to automate complex work, including the location of wells in deep-seas environments and evaluation of alternatives for subsea infrastructure. Incorporating a multi-disciplinary team featuring experts from the Chevron’s Houston Technical Centre, the Schlumberger Technology Centre and Microsoft computing specialists, the project has spanned three time zones and also been affected by travel disruptions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. But under Sarah’s leadership and advocacy for agile working methods, geographical challenges have been overcome and solutions implemented that provide for rapid assessment against decision criteria and the opportunity to deliver hundreds of millions of dollars of value over the next decade in Australia (with similar potential globally).
In addition to her leadership in the work environment, Sarah is an active volunteer in the community through surf lifesaving.
